Electric Cutter

Manually-operated machines can be used to make straight and curved cuts. It is also possible to make 45° and special cuts in ordinary ceramic tiles. However, these special cuts are much easier to make with the use of an electric machine, which can also be used to cut special shapes in stoneware tiles.

The two most important factors in obtaining a good result using electric machines are the type of diamond disk and the water for cooling the disk. The disk must always be cooled. The maximum water level is marked on the tray by an aperture. The water should not exceed this mark to avoid the machine evacuating more water than is necessary.

If we are looking for a good quality cut, it is essential to select the correct disks.

The CRN disk (orange) should be used for ceramic wall tiles, the CPA disk (blue) for flooring tiles and the CPC disk (copper colour) for porcelain tiles.

If we need to constantly cut different types of materials, the CEV disk (green) should be used, but it should be borne in mind that this will not produce the same quality of cut as the specific disks for each type of material, while the life of the disk will also be shorter.
